About the Association
Artisan Pie Makers is a nonprofit association of independent bakers dedicated to preserving and advancing the craft of handmade pie baking. We formed in 2018 when a handful of market-stall bakers decided that sharing knowledge would help everyone bake better pies than competing in silence ever could.
Our Mission
To support artisan pie makers through education, community, and shared resources — and to help pie lovers find real, handmade pies made with honest ingredients.
Our Values
Craft First
We favor technique and patience over shortcuts — butter is laminated, fruit is fresh, and crusts are rolled by hand.
Open Knowledge
Recipes and techniques are shared freely among members. A rising tide lifts all pie crusts.
Local Sourcing
We prioritize regional fruit, dairy, and grain suppliers whenever possible.
Community Over Competition
Our bake-offs are friendly, not cutthroat. We're building a craft, not a rivalry.
